This is a one-o-a-kind necklace by a combination of excellent silversmiths, and some early Fred Harvey era silver tags. The large "Bird/Man" pendant is by highly skilled silversmith Jock Favour.
It is not signed, but I asked him personally if he made it, and he said he did. It is set with four turquoise drill bead stones.
The stamping detail is wonderful. Bird/Man is even wearing a tiny stamped squash blossom necklace. The center, silver, early (1930s/40s) Navajo, Fred Harvey era tag is stamped with a detailed Thunderbird, crossed arrows and a whirling log design. There are two smaller, early Fred Harvey tags hanging from the two dangles at the side. One is a Thunderbird with a turquoise stone set at center.
It is stamped sterling on the back. The other tag is also and early Navajo, Fred Harvey tag with a dog/horse/sheep depicted on it, and set with a turquoise stone. Stamped sterling on the back.
These are both 1930s/40s originals. The tags are held on by sinew wrapping. Everything hangs from a one-of-a-kind leather necklace by highly skilled silversmith Jack Walker. He made this necklace this way, with the two extra dangles of leather and the two inner lengths of leather.
I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I added the silver items to it and created this unique necklace. The handmade silver clasp has a stamped design on the top, and can be worn at the side to show off the beauty of the clasp as part of the necklace. The back of the clasp is hallmarked with Jack's W.Shortest wearable length of first leather cord 18 3/4. Longer leather cord holding the Bird/Man 23 1/2. Bird/Man 3 1/4" by 1 1/2". Larger tag 1 3/8" by 3/4". Smaller tags 1 1/4" by 5/8".
