Incredible Navajo Royston Turquoise + Coin Silver Bracelet Fred Harvey Era

This is a really gorgeous hand stamped and tooled deep blue natural royston turquoise coin silver bracelet from around the 1940s or early 1950s. It has a lovely Art Deco feel from the era along with very fine Navajo silver smithing and hand stamped along the sides. The turquoise has An amazing matrix especially the center piece. Likely from the Royston mines which had a significant copper matrix in their stones.

Fred Harvey era jewelry was commissioned by trading posts and pit stops along the southwest highways for tourists who wanted a lighter profile on their jewelry than traditional Native American jewelry. The distinctive stamping of Indian motifs like arrows thunderbirds and sun bursts as well as concho designs are typical of this era of jewelry. They used a combination of hand and machine stamping and later on in the 50s and 60s had more and more machine stamping taking over after the artist put together the base of the bracelet.
