While this particular finger ornament fits well beside so called Fred Harvey jewelry of the time, that conceived as a more wearable alternative to traditional tribal adornment, there are clear ties to an older aesthetic. Here the turquoise is bracketed by twisted wire and silver drop decor at top and bottom, and flanked by silver drops where the split shank joins the front plate. Nice old style stamp work decorates the three fingers of the shank to each side. Obviously far apart from anything current, this ring has all the visual charisma you require (read plenty of PreWar Southwestern charm) - it could have been traded right from the finger of a local. Weight is good for the form at about 6.9 total grams on my portable digital scale.

Condition is quite fine with a deep aura of time as seen in the pics. The ring remains just as worn in the long ago. The turquoise set is tight to the fold over silver bezel. Typical and expected signs of wearing about are here simply more evidence of the real thing. A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition - a beautiful genuinely old Navajo ring ring.

Ring size is about 7 1/4 or possibly 7 1/2 on my jeweler's ring mandrel (the bottom edge of the shank reaches between those lines on the mandrel). Vertical at the front - and yes, it will be noticed. If you prefer historic earlier 20th Century Southwestern silver adornment and especially primal transitional versions relating to Fred Harvey for the "look", or simply wish this immediate improvement to the ambiance of each day, this will have great meaning for you. THIS IS LISTED AS U.
