Here fourteen (14) scalloped and domed conchas are linked by soldered silver rings, one larger one serving as the buckle - a popular version of the time. Distinctly old style stamp work detail ties everything together nicely. The belt fits well within so called Fred Harvey style, conceived as a more wearable alternative to heavier less wearable tribal aesthetic jewelry. There is no silver mark as typical for the era, so for those with less experience I will guarantee this is of sterling or coin fineness.

While replicas of these belts are still crafted, this original one is clearly separate from anything current. There is all the visual charisma you require - read plenty of real period Southwestern charm. There was a time when you could pretty much count on one of these in just about every estate tag sale - that time has come and gone. Weight is good for the form at about 62.7 total grams on my portable digital scale.

Condition is quite fine with an aura of age as seen in the pics. This is just about as worn in the long ago. All typical and expected signs of period duty are here simply more evidence of its treasured keeping. A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition - a really nice ladies Fred Harvey link style concho belt.

Size is about 31 7/8 in. Long, so for a smaller waist. The buckle concha is about 1 25/32 in.

Horizontal and 1 3/8 in. Each of the other conches is about 1 13/32 in. The silver rings vary slightly at about or a smidge over 17/32 in. Yes, this beauty will be noticed. If you prefer earlier 20th Century Southwestern silver jewelry and especially Fred Harvey charmers for the "look", or simply wish a single immediate improvement to the ambiance of each day, this will have great meaning for you.
