Navajo Silver Ingot Bracelet Vintage 1930's Fred Harvey Repousse Dogs Sun Arrows

  

Fred Harvey Navajo Sterling Silver Bracelet Cuff. Hammer marks on the inside of the cuff and a double die sun add to it's authenticity.

Weight = 25.08 grams. Size = 2.5 inches across at the widest, it is a little small for my wrist which is a 7 inch wrist in circumference. Walking dogs, arrows, geometric shapes, and with smiling suns were hammered into the silver made of ingot silver or coins in a repousse style. Came from an estate sale in Tucson, AZ. Harvey Navajo popular in the 1930's.

Near the end of the 19th century, and through to 1930, the tourist trade in the Southwest saw considerable growth. The Fred Harvey genre of lightweight and mass-produced jewelry that was made for sale to the Anglo tourist along the Santa Fe railroad lines was quite popular.
