Rare Vintage Fred Harvey Restaurant Shaker Set Silver Plated Reed & Barton

  

This is a really cool vintage Fred Harvey shaker set, from the 1920's or 30's. The Fred Harvey Company owned a chain of restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality industry businesses alongside railroads in the western United States and was instrumental in "civilizing" the West. This is a well used piece of Americana and Wild West history. Expected signs of use can be found on the base in the form of light surface texturing where the glass shakers rest on the base other than this no other signs of wear or condition issues to report on, silver plating shows no signs of wearing through, overall this set is in amazing condition.

Shaker holder set measures approximately 5 1/2" in height x 2 1/4" wide, each shaker measures 3" in height x 7/8" width. Set is marked "Fred Harvey" and "Reed & Barton Silver Soldered" underneath.

A great collector piece for the lover of Railroad, Train and Wild West memorabilia. It looks great on the table and is fun to use.
