1930 Navajo Fred Harvey Coin Silver Cerrillos Turquoise Cuff Bracelet

  
Fred Harvey era bracelets are all absolutely wonderful and collectible, and this one stands out for the iconic hand stamped on either side of the natural cabochon Cerrillos turquoise, as well as the age. From about 1900 to the mid 20th Century, the Fred Harvey Company helped popularize the Southwest among Eastern U. S residents by advertising Native American arts and culture in Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway calendars and publications. Fred Harvey Hotel gift shops were stocked with jewelry, which tourists bought up. This particular piece has natural turquoise, which is somewhat uncommon, as many pieces were made with faux or block turquoise. The interior is not stamped, and the patina is lovely.

This piece is circa 1930s yet it could be earlier. The bracelet measures about 5"½around using a tape measure on the inside, with a 1"¼ gap The width is just under 16mm across. Highly collectible era and symbolism!
