This is a really impressive piece of Navajo silver work with a beautiful piece of petrified wood as the center piece. Dates back to about the 1950s The sides are hand stamped in the Fred Harvey tradition which was a staple of the Southwest Trading posts from the early 20th century til the mid century. This bracelet fits my 6.5 inch wrist amply with at least another inch to inch and a half of room to expand and some to contract. See photos for measurements of bracelet itself. It's a beautiful piece and the pictures don't do it justice because you can't see the changing colors on the wood agate.
Heavier than other Fred Harvey jewelry i have on my collection the bracelet is very well made. Trading posts hired Native American artisans to hand tool silver bracelets and then hand stamped decorations to appeal to tourists and visitors to the American Southwest. On this one the symetrical patterns are very art deco style.
The silver is shiny and also has some nice patina on it from age. Then petrified wood has deep chestnut tones and sometimes looks black and white. The agate/petrified wood measures over an inch in width.
