From a Tucson estate some years ago and time spent in Northern Arizona once upon a time (or perhaps discovered in one of the long gone downtown curio shops right here in the Old Pueblo) is this 1920's or possibly earlier 1930's Navajo silver ring with elongated oval green turquoise set, construction features fully indicative of an artisan making in the long ago. While this particular finger ornament fits well beside so called Fred Harvey jewelry of the time that served a more wearable alternative to traditional tribal adornment, there are clear ties to an older aesthetic. The turquoise is bracketed by twisted wire with silver drop decor at top and bottom, and flanked by silver drops where the split shank joins the front plate. Nice old style stamp work decorates the three shank fingers on each side. Obviously unrelated to anything current, this ring has the visual charisma you require (read plenty of PreWar Southwestern charm) - it could have been traded right from the finger of a local.

Weight is good for the form at about 6.9 total grams on my portable digital scale. Condition is quite fine with a desired aura of time as seen in the pics. The turquoise set has every bit of "the look". There are typical and expected signs of previous duty, here simply validating a genuine history.

A look at those pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition. Ring size is about 7 1/4 or possibly 7 1/2 on my jeweler's ring mandrel (the bottom edge of the shank reaches between those lines on the mandrel). Vertical at the front - and yes, it will be noticed.

I don't know what else to say. THIS IS LISTED AS U.
