The ingot nature of the metal and old elongated "C" shaping are readily apparent. While likely crafted during some portion of the so called Fred Harvey era, when much Southwestern jewelry was being modified to wearable styles for "Indian Detour" visitors, this particular ornament revives an older style and could have been traded directly from the wrist of a traditionally conservative local. It looks nothing like more recent incarnations of the rod / carinate form, reflecting the efforts of a tribal artisan working by hand accomplished means in responding to that earlier aesthetic.

You may think bracelets like this are still readily available here in the Southwest - well, go look for yourself. Weight is very good for the form at about 26.1 grams on my portable digital scale.

Condition is quite fine with a subtle aura of time to the gleaming silver surfaces - this bracelet was protectively stored away for years, so remains pretty much as it looked in the long ago. Check the surfaces with a 10X loop, however, to see typical and expected (and desired) signs of previous duty - here serving as more evidence of a genuine history and demonstrating this beauty has absolutely no association with anything recent.

A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition - a classic ornament that will look great worn about in Santa Fe or wherever you live. Inner circumference is about 6 1/4 in. Plus the 1 3/32 in. Opening - I think for a man's wrist. If you prefer historic Navajo and Pueblo referenced silver adornment, or simply wish a single noticeable improvement to the ambiance of each day, this will have great meaning for you.
