Old Pawn Fred Harvey Era Navajo Sterling Silver Number #8 Turquoise Bracelet

  
On offer is an authentic, ornate vintage Fred Harvey era N AVAJO hand wrought. 925 sterling silver three carinated angle band cuff bracelet adorned with a fantastic natural #8 Nevada turquoise stone and decorative hand stamped crescent motifs. This bracelet is not hallmarked which was quite common in earlier Native American jewelry. We believe this historic cuff was created circa 1940's or perhaps earlier. This traditional cuff bracelet is skillfully executed in the old NAVAJO technique with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (see photos for an accurate detailed depiction).

The natural square shaped old #8 turquoise stone is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and is firmly and securely set in a smooth silver bezel surrounded by fancy wire work, raindrops and rope. There are some natural lines in the matrix that we believe are not cracks in the stone. The bracelet plaque measures approx.

1 1/4" x 1 1/8". 1 1/4 tapering to 1/2" wide with an interior circumference of 6 3/8" including 1 1/8 opening. The cuff has a wee bit of flexibility. It weighs a hefty 36.1 grams - 1.16 ounces. This classic, well crafted Fred Harvey era NAVAJO. 925 sterling silver and natural southwestern #8 Nevada turquoise bracelet would make a wonderful addition to any Twentieth Century Native American Jewelry, Historic American Turquoise or Cultural Arts and Crafts collection.
