This is a wonderful, older watch cuff! It's part of the Fred Harvey collection from back in the 1960s! The turquoise has light blue hues and minimal matrix. Elegant stampings border them beautifully. There is one set with a hairline crack (see photo 2), but that's not unexpected in this vintage accessory. PLEASE NOTE THE SMALLER DIMENSIONS. The cuff has an inner circumference of 5 1/4", with an additional 1 1/8" opening at the back. It measures approximately 5/8 wide. The single pair of flanges measure approximately 3/8 wide. This cuff (including watch) has a total weight of approximately 39.9 grams.

Nickel silver: Once called German silver, silversmiths have used it for the last 100 Years in jewelry making. Although it contains no actual silver its takes the same amount of work and craftsmanship as sterling. Many collectors prefer it over sterling as it does not tarnish as easily and quickly like sterling.

Genuine turquoise: This is actual turquoise stone. Because turquoise stone is very soft it is usually stabilized in one way or another by clear sealers etc, so it does not scratch so easy. Block is being manufactured in many different countries including the USA. It's comprised of many different materials including plastics, epoxy resins and MANY other materials. It has been used in the southwest for over 50 years.

It actually requires more labor than natural stone because of its hard consistency. It is harder to carve than stone. Estate jewelry: This is jewelry that is previously owned.

It does not mean that they are antique or even vintage. It does not even mean the item was worn before. Some items may only be a year old but came from an estate. Vintage jewelry: If we feel an item is 25 years old or older we call it vintage.
